Lancaster City Art Galleries

Lancaster City is a thriving center for the arts and cultural activities. Gallery Row located on the first and second blocks of North Prince Street, is the center of the city's art scene, but visitors can find galleries and museums across the downtown area. With monthly First Friday events and annual Art Walks, visitors will always find something to engage their creative interests.

Lancaster History Museum

Lancaster History Museum offers a comprehensive look at Lancaster County’s rich 300-year history. This award-winning museum offers a changing series of exhibits that highlight the growth and development of Lancaster as well as a research center containing more than 2 million historical documents including maps, records, books and manuscripts. Lancaster History Museum is located on the grounds of Wheatland, the former home of Lancaster native President James Buchannan.
